I consider myself somewhat of a conscious person when it comes to my health, but I had never even heard of NingXia Red until a friend of mine introduced me to it. Not that I’m opposed to drinking water, but many people I know will supplement their water intake by consuming sports drinks, which is basically dehydrating, since they’re typically sugar. With NingXia Red, I’m drinking a liquid that contains natural berries and, as a result, I feel like I can run another five miles – even after my normal five mile jaunt around the neighborhood.

Wolfberry, the main ingredient in NingXia Red, is fast becoming a popular drink among health conscious people in the Western world. Long thought to be the contributing factor of the legendary age of Li Qing Yuen, who – according to reports – died at the age of 250 years old. So what is exactly in wolfberry?
• 11 essential and 22 trace dietary minerals
• 18 amino acids
• 6 essential vitamins
• 8 polysaccharides and 6 monosaccharides
• 5 unsaturated fatty acids, including the essential fatty acids, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid
• beta-sitosterol and other phytosterols
• 5 carotenoids, including beta-carotene and zeaxanthin, lutein, lycopene and cryptoxanthin, a xanthophyll
• numerous phenolic pigments associated with antioxidant properties
Of course, these are only a smattering of the kind of nutrients you can find in wolfberry. Why not try it yourself and see how much better you’ll feel?

If you find that your home is infested with mold, here are some simple steps to follow on the road to better health.
Mold Inspection- retain a qualified, certified mold inspection firm to evaluate your home and determine cause of mold and severity of infestation.
Isolation of the Area- if there is a mold problem, you will want to isolate the area carefully to prevent carryover into non infested areas during clean up.
Clean Up/Remediation- care should be taken to not stir up the mold; if it is severe, or in the walls, a specialized remediation firm (in space suits) may have to be used and materials removed in hazardous waste containers.
Repair of the Cause- if there is structural damage or leaky plumbing causing a moisture problem, fix it.
Maintenance/Prevention- an ongoing program to ensure no recurrence of the cause and use of proven purification technology to maintain a clean environment and kill mold growth.
On this last point, emphasis is placed on use of technology that has a proven track record of mold abatement. HEPA filters and electrostatic filters that are called purifiers are not effective on mold/mildew. It is also recommended by some that aromatherapy can kill molds.
To most people, mold is something that only attacks those hard to reach places in their bathrooms and nothing else is thought of it. In actuality, however, an overabundance of mold can compromise good health and do some real damage on a person, particularly children.
Mold can trigger allergic reactions and asthma attacks in many. Complaints of flu-like symptoms, chronic fatigue syndrome, memory impairment, migraines, sick building syndrome, dizziness and nosebleeds are common. These are the mild symptoms. Many researchers claim that mold can attack several main body systems, including the brain, central nervous and immune systems and have been the direct cause of some deaths. Regardless of where you stand on this issue, who wants to smell mold/mildew and inhale spores from household fungus? They can lodge in your lungs (remember dark, warm and moist). Asthmatics, infants and individuals suffering immune system deficiencies are particularly susceptible.

Frankincense is one of the essential oils and was reintroduced to Europe by Frankish Crusaders. Occasionally known as olibanum, it was often used in early religious ceremonies.
The lost city of Ubar, sometimes identified with Irem in what is now the town of Shisr in Oman, is believed to have been a center of the frankincense trade. Ubar was rediscovered in the early 1990s and is now under archaeological excavation.
The Greek historian Herodotus was familiar with frankincense and knew it was harvested from trees in southern Arabia. He reports, however, that the gum was dangerous to harvest because of poisonous snakes that lived in the trees. He goes on to describe the method used by the Arabians to get around this problem, by burning of the gum of the styrax tree whose smoke would drive the snakes away.

According to a survey conducted by the American Psychological Association, 75% of Americans are stressed out. With our fast-paced world and collective bombardment of the high cost of living, it’s no wonder why we’re all coming apart at the seams. There is a way to relax, however, and it’s natural and quite helpful.
Aromatherapy can help achieve the kind of calm that most people would be good money for. Aromatherapy is a way for us to relax, using natural essential oils to fully gain a tranquil state of mind. It won’t erase your problems, but with aromatherapy, your stress will be reduced significantly.
Something about getting older and wearing sandals is what I used to think was causing my sore cracked heels. I used to spend money and time trying to soak, soften and then scrap off the dead caluses built up on my heels. Walking was painful when I had a bad crack. I would treat the cracks with oinment for a few days and the crack would heal but then, when the tissue was hard enough again, the painful cracks would return.
I was introduced to a new product called Omega Blue and began taking it for other benefits. Right now I don’t even remeber what they are but I realized that it was benifiting me in other areas I had not previously anticipated, like improving the hormone balance, but that’s another subject. Omege Blue is an omega 3,6 & 9 product derived from a seclusive supply of mercury free cod liver oil, also contaning essential oils that help increase it’s effectiveness.
In addition to the Omega Blue, I found using Rose Ointment helped the cracks heal and sofent the tissue. This is good in the beginng to begin the healing process but I believe it is the addition of Omega Blue to my daily diet that has made the difference.
Whenever the chips are down or something just isn’t going as planned someone always has to chime in with the age old adage, “At least you have your health.” Gee, thanks. I know when I’m in dire straits the last thing I want to hear is how great things are. But if you go past the face value of that comment having your health is one of the greatest fortunes anyone will ever have.
I like to look at my health as a daily gift and products like your immune system booster are indispensable in helping me maintain my health. There’s nothing like a natural, preventative approach to caring for yourself. All-too-often people wait until they’re already sick, and our medical community struggles and strains to catch up and treat an illness or disease that already has considerable momentum. I’m also thankful there are natural products I can use to keep those kinds of situations out of my life.

When my baby was only four weeks old he was diagnosed with RSV; but, recovered quickly.
It was later in the evening when my husband and I decided we needed to take our son to be seen by a doctor. With him being so young we were sent straight to the hospital. The ER Dr. told us we needed to check in so that he could be monitered for possibly a week depending on his progress. My husband brought me a few essential oils to use on the baby while he was in the hospital.
I had the misfortune of “feeling the burn” that is assoiciated with a urinary tract or bladder infection this week. Just another opportunity to appriciate the power of essential oils and products that we use I figure. Over the years I’ve come to the realization that there are several factors involved.
Of course drinking adequate water is very important. It’s so logical that it hardly needs explaining but since some may not be aware of the connection, we will discuss it. When the body is dehydrated and the frequent flushing out of the urinary tract is not taking place we set ourselves up for being a host to an unwelcome guests. We are exposed to bacteria every day but there are things we can do to avoid being a host. This applices to many other areas too such as respiratory infection. Read the rest of this entry »
