My testimony begins so far back, that I will have to start somewhere in the middle in order to get the main points in, at least at this time.

As people familiar with auto-immune diseases know, for many years my health problems were singled out as “this disease”, or “that condition”, until May of 1992, when most all of them were finally diagnosed under the heading of Systemic Lupus Erythematosis, or SLE, the worst kind of Lupus. I was not glad to HAVE the disease, but was glad they could put a name to my ailments. (I had already been diagnosed with and treated for Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 3 years, because the R.A. factor showed up in the blood tests).

That was the good news. The bad news was, there was no cure, and all they could do was try to suppress my immune system from going “crazy” and only treat symptoms as they arose. With Lupus, the immune system becomes “confused”, and begins to attack good cells in the body as though they were bad ones. When it starts affecting vital organs, depending on how bad the damage is, then it becomes life-threatening. Some people are only lightly affected; some are on the other end of the scale.

Well, by the end of May, I was in a bad “flare”, and heart, lungs, kidneys, vascular system, among other things, were involved.

For lack of time and space, I will just tell you that my God, through the prayers of family and Christian friends, got me through the next several months (and years, for that matter), because I was in and out of the hospital 3 times in 9 months. Each time after that, whenever another flare occurred, there was usually some damage to or involvement of something else in my body.

My last flare in October of l998, attacked my central nervous system…mainly the nerve roots in my spine. Bad news! I became paralyzed for a short period of time, and then could barely move after that. My family doctor said I needed to see a neurologist right away, but our city was without one at that time. I had one in Houston that I had seen once before, but I could not get in to see him for two more months. Meanwhile, I regained some movement, but was still very weak and in terrible burning pain up and down my spine and out from there. All I seemed to be able to do was take fairly strong pain medicine to get any kind of relief at all, which was, of course, temporary. We found a neurologist in Dallas that I could get in to see after three weeks who did some nerve tests, but really didn’t help my misery at all. If anything, the tests aggravated my condition some for awhile.

I was finally able to see my neurologist in Houston, who put me on Neurontin, a medication for seizures and nerve pain. This did help, but the medicine made me feel kind of “drugged”, or “groggy”, and I had to take it three times a day, to really get any relief, on top of the other pain medicine. I didn’t feel like I was much good to anybody in that condition, but didn’t know what else to do but that, and keep praying for recovery. I also saw a rheumatologist, whom I liked, but who didn’t do a lot of changing in the way of medication. After several months of this, I was really ready to try ANYTHING God would send my way!

I was introduced to the oils through a sweet older lady in my church, named Lenora, who had been taking massages with them from a friend named Dian, who was a Young Living Essential Oils distributor. Dian gave me one “Raindrop Therapy” session on my spine, legs, and feet, and I was hooked! I had been in such pain day in and day out from nerve damage, that I knew this relief had to be sent from God! I had relief for about 5 days. The second session brought relief for about 2 weeks, and the space between sessions has widened to where I only have one when I feel I need it. I began to also take some of the supplements, (Sulfurzyme, Cleansing Trio, Vitagreen, Mineral Essence, etc.); and with each new supplement and/or oil, I just began to feel better and better. I still take some of my lupus medications, but I’ve been able to get off my pain medicine, and gradually reduce the Neurontin to 1 at night, and not every night. Perhaps one day I will be able to get off the other medication. I’ve also been able to eliminate, for the most part, my allergy and asthma medications, whichto me is a miracle, especially since I got through the spring without them. After I had been using the oils for six weeks, I went back to my Rheumatologist, and all my tests were perfect!

There is more to the story, but this is basically the part connected to the oils. I might add that I started with the oils of Valor, Peace and Calming, Thieves, the Raindrop Therapy kit, RC, Lavender, Peppermint, EndoFlex, Immupower, Joy, Relieve It, and so on until I have quite a “collection,” but still have many I would like to have. I might also add that my husband was skeptical at first, but became enthusiastic when he saw what good the oils were doing me. Thank the Lord for a loving spouse!

I love the oils, and use them some every day. My husband really enjoys using them, too, and contributes them to helping his body rid itself of a bad case of bronchitis he had for 2 1/2 months before he began using them. I try to take care of myself as much as possible through a healthy diet, exercise, and plenty of rest to keep everything in balance. The oils can be even more effective that way in supporting my body with the tools it needs to function and to feel better.

God’s plant oils DO work, and they help so many people who are suffering, but also many others who just need help in their everyday living.
