When my baby was only four weeks old he was diagnosed with RSV; but, recovered quickly.
It was later in the evening when my husband and I decided we needed to take our son to be seen by a doctor. With him being so young we were sent straight to the hospital. The ER Dr. told us we needed to check in so that he could be monitered for possibly a week depending on his progress. My husband brought me a few essential oils to use on the baby while he was in the hospital.
That night I rubed the oils on his chest, back and feet regularly. The next morning our doctor sent us home. He gave us a perscription of albuteral to use if I felt like he needed it. The doctor also told me that I would have a cranky baby as a side effect. I did use the albuteral a few times with no noticeable relief.![]()
I continued using oils and a hot compress on my babies chest as I saw more progress with this method. I put V6 mixed with the essential oil, RC on his chest. I combined V6 with Oregano, Thyme and Thieves essential oils on his back, the essential oils of Raven, Palo Santo and Peppermint on his feet, as well diffusing the essential oils of Peppermint, Raven, RC, Palo Santo and Thieves under a tent made from a sheet. I did these every few hours. I was also taking NinXia Red and Inner Defense as it would flow through my milk to help support his immune system. His breathing was less labored and his chest would sound more clear. Instead of a cranky baby, from the medicine; he was happy and peaceful.
Two days later I took my baby to his regular doctor for a follow up. The doctor was impressed with my babies progress. He kept asking me “Are you sure he was just in the hospital two days
ago?” He said that there had been damage to his lungs from the RSV; however, my baby already looked as if it had been two weeks ago versus two days ago. I did not need to come in for another follow up.
