When I was a young child I developed pneumonia and was put under a tent in the hospital.  As years went by, I developed seasonal allergies.  By the time I was 12, when I would run laps for P.E. class, I would wheeze so hard I could hardly breathe.  But, after a warm shower it would clear up and even doctors saw no need to limit my behavior or prescribe medicine.  Thank Heaven!

Recently, the seasonal allergies returned and so did the asthma without any activity to cause an attack.  I realized what it was one day and decided I needed to use the oils and see if they would help.

I got a stainless saucepan and put it on the stove with water.  I added Lavender, Roman Chamomile, and Frankincense to the water and inhaled the steam.   I had immediate relief.  I felt much better and even now that its been about five days, the tightness in my chest has been relieved and not returned.

essential oils

An essential oil is any concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants, which are called aromatic herbs or aromatic plants. They are also known as volatile or ethereal oils, or simply as the “oil of” the plant material from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. Oil is “essential” in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant. Essential oils do not, as a group, need to have any specific chemical properties in common, beyond conveying characteristic fragrances. They are not to be confused with essential fatty acids.

Essential oils are generally extracted by distillation. Other processes include expression, or solvent extraction. They are used in perfumes, cosmetics and bath products, for flavoring food and drink, and for scenting incense and household cleaning products.
Various essential oils have been used medicinally at different periods in history. Medical applications proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer, and are often based on historical use of these oils for these purposes. Such claims are now subject to regulation in most countries, and have grown correspondingly more vague, to stay within these regulations.

Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades, with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine which claims that the specific aromas carried by essential oils have curative effects. Oils are volatilized or diluted in a carrier oil and used in massage, or burned as incense, for example.

Aromatherapy oils

Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant materials, known as essential oils and other aromatic compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person’s mood or health. Essential oils differ in chemical composition from other herbal products because the distillation process only recovers the lighter phytomolecules. For this reason essential oils are rich in monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes, as well as other VOC substances.

Aromatherapy is a generic term that refers to any of the various traditions that make use of essential oils sometimes in combination with other alternative medical practices and spiritual beliefs. Popular use of these products include massaging products, medicine, or any topical application that incorporates the use of essential oils to their products. It has a particularly Western currency and persuasion. Medical treatment involving aromatic compounds may exist outside of the West, but may or may not be included in the term ‘aromatherapy’.

I’m so glad that I have Master Hers. When I’m pregnant I prefer to take Master Hers over Prenatal Vitamins. Prenatals make me more nauseous than I already am. When I take Master Hers I’m getting even more vitamins and less nausea. How wonderful is that! Just remember to eat a box of raisins every day for their iron content.

I dislocated my shoulder one night while sleeping. My arm had fallen asleep and as I rolled over my arm did not come with me. So, we went to the emergency room. While in the waiting room we applied Oregano, Peppermint, Lemongrass, Marjoram Essential Oils. Just about anything we had with us at the moment.

When we finally saw the Dr. he asked if I needed to take any pain relievers, so that I could relax enough to relocate my humorous into socket. I told him that I didn’t need any because the oils had kicked in. I was able to relieve the pain enough that I did not need any medication; that night or the next day. I didn’t even take home the prescription. The next morning I was able to lift my arm enough to curl my hair.

My little girls started getting those unmistakable signs of chicken pox, which had been going around the neighborhood at the time. Red dots all over their body had appeared, starting on their torso, and blisters on their fingers and toes. As soon as I saw these I whipped out my oils.

I put Oregano, Thyme, Thieves and Peppermint essential oils on their backs using the raindrop technique. Well, I guess it’s a short version. I just bared their backs, threw on the oils and feathered it in with the back of my finger nails. I did this about three times a day for the next three or four days.

I began as soon as I saw blisters starting to appear on their fingers and or toes.  I stopped it dead in its tracks. I never saw another blister past their fingers or toes. The blisters and dots receded. My girls didn’t get a fever, itchy or anything past that. I was so grateful. I love using essential oils.

You know how you start to get those tell tale signs that you’re getting sick. I was getting those a few weeks ago. The achy joints, less energy, yucky feeling…… I called my husband and asked him to come home during his lunch. I had him put oregano, thyme, thieves and peppermint essential oils up my back. I laid there for a few minutes and let it soak in. I felt completely better. I went on with my day and never had another sign of sickness.

My daughter came screaming in the house saying that she’d tried to touch a bee (wasp). Of coarse it had stung her. I reached for my peppermint oil and put it on her hand. She was still panicky; but, after I told her to take a deep breath she said she felt much better. I didn’t see it itch or bother her much all the rest of the day.

I use oils to stop bladder infections.  I put Theives or Maleluca or oregano in capsules and take 2 as soon as I feel it coming on.  I drink lots of water or cranberry juice if I have any, to flush it through.  In two hours or so the symptoms begin to lessen and in about three hours it’s gone.  Theives is my favorite oil to use but I have used the others with success.  I love the oils and use them for everything!

Hello, my name is Nathan and I am a survivor of a nearly fatal brain tumor. Since the surgery I have been introduced to Massage Therapy. I will graduate in just a few weeks but I wanted to share a story about the power of Relieve It.

At a Hollstic School in the Bay Area we have massage sessions known as Clinic. This is open to the public. One day I went out to greet my client and brought him back into the room, as I began to work. I was amazed at how tight this young man ’s muscles were after attempting basic strokes with little to no result I began to go into deep tissue while this helped a small amount the effort was not worth the result. Then it hit me I have Relieve It in my backpack under the table. As soon as I read the ingredients to my client to make sure they were not allergic I started off with just a small shake and began to do long gliding effleurage strokes the change was amazing the muscles in the shoulders began melting at a rapid rate .

The Client was in Bliss when I took him off the table 50 minues later and happily rebooked.

For more information or to contact Nathan, please leave a comment.
